Advantages-
1) Bulleted text lets you get through a lot of material efficiently.
2) There is enough detail in each section to prepare you for the test
3) The pictures are pretty good
4) The online review questions are great! I was hitting them on a daily basis- at home, during lunch in my office, and even between patients. (I used an old Macintosh laptop and had no problems accessing them).
5) The online test simulation gives you more information and helps with timing. When I took the ABIM MOC test my time management was perfect.
Disadvantages-
1) Bulleted text is rather “dry”. Great for reviewing topics and identifying weaknesses. Doesn’t make for engaging reading.
2) The book is surprisingly heavy! Difficult to read in bed.
I passed my test using this as my main review source. I would recommend it to a colleague. Good luck!

I like this book and to be honest I complement my studies with Swanson’s Family Medicine and Step-Up Medicine. Reviewing from the 3 books I feel that I get better information and reinforce my knowledge. I strongly recommend the 3 of them, and if you learn looking images and ordered items, this book is for you.

Book itself from what i have heard is excellent, but warehousedeals service was crappy to say the least, the code for web access for the multiple choice questions inside the book had already been used up by people at warehouse deals, I had to return the book and request refund
